China : EU notifies textile industry on anti-absorption investigation

Textile industry may face further investigation from the European Union on the anti-dumping duty on certain textile fabric products.

The Union is going to carry out anti-absorption investigation on chemical fabric cloth imported, including about 1,000 textile companies.

Last year, anti-dumping duty imposed for five years on certain polyester filament fabric is from 14.1 to 56.2 percent. This has considerably reduced market share of related products from 55 to 6.5 percent.

It can even get double after completion of anti-absorption investigation.
