China : Textile ind to overtake Japan & Korea by 2010

Recently, the Chairman of Korean Clothing Industry Institute informed the press that Chinese textile and clothing industry will exceed Japan and Korea by 2010.

The statement has come out after the survey of 500 Korean clothing units, which are optimistic about the development prospects of Chinese textile and clothing industry.

At present, China has taken the lead as an importer and exporter of Korean textile and clothing industry as more than 1600 Korean textile and clothing units do business with China.

Textile and clothing industry of China has strong competition, and is attracting more foreign investment. However, in the long term, China must also get more strong competitive status by research and development.
