The new term ‘anti-absorption’ is worrying the chemical-fibre fabric exporters in Zhejiang province.
EU has announced informally to carry out the anti-absorption investigation on Chinese chemical-fibre cloth, it is for the first time that the textile units encounter the anti-absorption investigation.
The investigated chemical-fibre cloth is dyeing and printing artificial filament fabrics, over 1000 Chinese textile units are involved, and most units are located in Shaoxing city.
The anti-absorption tax is far higher than normal tariff, the highest tax rate is two times as much as anti-dumping tax rate. So, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles has reminded the involved units, they should apply for questionnaire before January 11, 2007.
