China : New fabrics rule market in 2006

In 2006, many new fabrics were available in the market and so many of them became popular. Certain fabrics that attracted maximum attention are as follows:-

Wire fabric: Made of wire fibre mixed with soft fibre like wool, cotton or superfine fibre, has shining effect and feels soft.

Coat fabric: Coated with a kind of macromolecule compound, is used in garments, shoes, jacket, non-woven fabric etc. The production cost of fabric is very less with high profit margin and its price can reach up to RMB20 per meter.

Simulation fabric, made of chemical fibre, is available at cheaper price and it is comfortable to wear.

Fuzz fabric was also favored during this period because it feels soft and has shining effect like that of corduroy, flannel and velvet.

Funny yarn fabric is used to make fashionable dress, costly garments and women's jackets.
