China : Global market share of cashmere likely to improve

Industrial insiders forecast that the international market share of Chinese cashmere products will be further enhanced.

After China's entry into the WTO, cashmere product exports witnessed growth. Annual exports of de-hired cashmere exceeded 4500 tons, and cashmere sweater exports surpassed 11 million pieces in 2003 and 2004. But exports in 2005 and 2006 declined.

Experts point out that China's advantages in cashmere resources and processing industry is difficult to be replaced by any other country in the world.

So the industry believes that China's cashmere product share in the future international market will be further enhanced.

But cashmere industry will undergo major changes in the mode of economic growth. Innovation will become fully competitive edge of the core.

Cashmere industrial brands will become the only way for China to truly embark on the international stage.
