India : Establishment of Jute Bank Planned

JMEC- Jute Manufacturers & Export Council has requested Union Government to extend financial support to new jute mills by allotting special funds.

Addressing their first press conference here recently the newly elected office-bearers of the JMEC said that they would establish jute bank in Delhi so as to provide easy access to raw material for the manufacturers. They would also organise " awareness programmes" across the country.
