China : 100th Canton Fair Result

This Fair, attracted worldwide attention, has successfully fulfilled all tasks with great attention and concern of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.

Now I will brief you on buyers' attendance and trade volume of this session.

Firstly, the total number of overseas buyers increases steadily.

In this session, the number of buyers from 212 countries and regions reaches 192,691, increased by 8.7% over the 98th session and 1.4% over the 99th session.

The major characteristic of the buyer attendance is that the number of European and American buyers has increased greatly this session. The European buyers reach 40,596, increased by 19.3% over the 99th session and 9.3% over the 98th session; the American buyers reaches 26,021, increased by 3.4% over the 99th session and 17% over the 98th session. The number of Asian, Oceania and African buyers decreases to 106,716, 5,920, and 9375 respectively. In terms of participating buyers, the top five countries and regions are Hong Kong SAR, USA, Taiwan Province, Japan and Korea, whose numbers of buyers reaches 33,709, 13,232, 10,303, 6,531, 6,478 respectively.

85,091 new buyers and 80 famous multinational retailers attend this session.
