China : Commerce Ministry discusses export quota

Chinese Commerce Ministry will hear the opinion about last year’s textile export quota in this year’s Chinese Export Commodity Fair.

The agreement bidding of textile and clothing export quota will be a focus during the meeting as most textile and clothing units have reflected that the agreement bidding’s prices are high.

Out of the total 31 categories of limited textile and clothing exported to USA and EU, 18 will be distributed according to the outstanding achievement of export companies and 13 categories will be distributed in agreement bidding.

The Vice Chairman of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile, Cao Xinyu said that the agreement bidding’ prices are lower than last year and this would help the export houses to promote and optimize export products.
