China : Skilled labor crucial for slide fastener sector - experts

Recently, Fujian Slide Fastener Association and Guangdong Slide Fastener Chamber organized a meeting, which was attended by around 40 other big manufacturers from both provinces.

Delegates mainly discussed the difference between Chinese slide fastener brands and the International famous slide fastener brands.

In general, the international brands’ slide fasteners like YKK are better than its Chinese counterparts in terms of quality. Analysts pointed out that though China also has premium fasteners, it still lacks in quality stability. This probably the key reason for sector’s weak standing in global market.

Experts suggested that in order to increase the quality stability of the elite slide fasteners, skilled and trained labour force was crucial. Enterprises should conduct programs and workshops to enhance knowledge of the workers.
