March China Cotton Import and Export Decline

According to the newest statistics of General Administration of Customs, in March China imported cotton of 35,217 tons, valued US$44.72 million dollars. The import was decreased by 497 tons comparing to Feb., while the import volume increased by US$5.58 million dollars. The export was 17,692 tons, valued US$18.87 million dollars. The export decreased by 211 tongs comparing to Feb.

In Jan.-Mar. 2003, China imported accumulatively 152,000 tons of cotton, valued US$170 million dollars. The cotton exported was 49,474 tons, valued US$52.65 million dollars.
