China : Global textile machinery exports grow in 2006

President of Textile Machinery Branch of German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association (VDMA) Wardman said in Beijing recently, the estimated value of the global textile machinery exports last year increased substantially to 13.4 billion Euros compared to the previous year.

He said that China is the world's largest textile machinery market, while India, Pakistan and South America market also represent a rapid growth.

At the Beijing media explanation meeting of 2007 Munich International Textile Machinery Exhibition (ITMA), Wardman made the above remarks. According to him, in 2005 the global textile machinery exports amounted to 12.9 billion Euros.

Among the total, European exports marked 8.228 million Euros, accounting for 66.5 percent; Asian exports read 3.428 million Euros, accounting for 27.7 percent. American exports stood for 725,000 Euros, accounting for 5.9 percent.

In January-March, the capital expenditure of Japanese textile enterprises increased 13.6 percent. Japan's Ministry of Finance revealed their investigation on June 4, from January to March the investment of Japanese textile enterprises in plant and equipment increased 13.6 percent over a year earlier.
