China : Color Cotton Group makes for nearly 50% of global output

Export of environmentally friendly colored cotton products of China have grown to be a pillar of the entire industry.

The China International Cotton Conference that ended June 29, revealed that regions producing color cotton as well as production of the fiber has boosted up by 20 times and Xinjiang has grown in an area of more than 130 square kilometers.

China Colored Cotton Group Co Ltd, located in Xinjiang, achieved colour cotton output of 8,000 tons last year, making up 95 percent of country's total production and half of the world's supply.

Lately, more than 400 kinds of colored cotton products are developed by this Group.
