United States Of America : Cache Posts Slide In Q1 Profit, Sales Up

 Women's clothing chain Cache Inc on Tuesday posted an 16 per cent slide in first quarter net profit from the year prior due to weak consumer spending, bad weather and the Easter shift.

The New York-based operator of 238 stores reported a net profit of $1.6 million versus $1.9m with sales up to $47.9m from $47.6m but same-store sales down three per cent.
