China : Color cotton undergarment a costly fad

Soft and vibrant undergarments made from color cotton fibre have a huge development potential in the international green textile markets.

Coloured cotton output in China accounts for 30 percent of the global production. This industry requires huge investment which limits its output as well as development. Only big undergarment enterprises like DGG, Docare from China prefer to produce it.

Docare is the first company to produce organic cotton undergarments in the world and introduced a fashion trend for the same. Experts believe this effort had been a big leap in addressing the issue of green, natural, healthy and environment-friendly garments.

Ceiba is a natural colour cotton fibre which is moth- and mold-proof. The technique required for its production is quite costly. Only few manufacturers like Jinkaola are able to produce undergarments made from ceiba.
