China : Gel Dyeing Acrylic Fiber helps energy saving & emission reduction

SPC recently started the mass production of its new product Gel Dyeing Acrylic Fiber and could produce any color of acrylic fiber according to customers' samples or data.

SPC is the largest acrylic fiber R&D and production base in China. Like other domestic acrylic fiber manufacturers, SPC has been mainly supplying white acrylic fiber.

Therefore, customers have to have acrylic fiber dyed according to their own needs. It costs 60-ton water to dye a ton of acrylic fiber, plus consumption of electricity and steam. The production cost certainly increases. Moreover, the emission of wastewater is a sore in the treatment of local water environment.

Therefore, SPC has introduced American advanced technology and improved it based on its equipment. At last, it successfully developed the Gel Dyeing Acrylic Fiber. When still in the gel state, the as-spun fiber is dyed with the liquid cationic dyestuff.

Then, the color difference is controlled in the production line through the computerized color measuring and matching system. Compared with the traditional dyeing finish, this method contributes to better dyeing effect and economic benefits.

What's more, wastewater-free dyeing comes true even in the stage of raw material production, thus helping energy saving and reducing waste emission.
