Leading the Way to Lead--Focalizing the First Knitting Fair

On August 29^th-31^st, the same day as the 13^th China International trade Fair for Home Textiles and Accessories, the First China International Knitting trade Fair, hosted both by the China Knitting Industrial Association (CKIA) and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, was held in Shanghai, Pudong district.

 

Knitting products, featured with its special structure and excellent performance, are widely applied to various garments such as underwear, fashion, T-shirts, sweaters, sports wear etc. They are also widely used as industrial textiles in transportation, advertisement, electric power, automobile industries etc., apart from their fashion and home-textile regimes.

 

Furthermore, during the tenth Five-Year-Plan period, the knitting industry has made a remarkable progress and maintained a 20% growth speed in output value, sales and export turnover. Since the 11^th Five-Year-Plan, the knitting industry has been growing with its sustained advantages; moreover, the enterprises also make a great contribution to resolving employment problems, raising the quality of labors, protecting the environment and so on, for the whole nation to enjoy a better daily life.

 

In order to promote the development of knitting products and technology and lead the domestic knitting enterprises to exploit new market, the First China International Knitting Trade Fair, oriented with the theme of new material, new process, new equipment, and new trend, turn out to be a calendar rendezvous for global knitting business.

 

As Mr. Yang Shibin, the president of China Knitting Industrial Association, indicated: “by holding such an exhibition characteristic of high-end brand strategy, we hope it could lead our enterprises to an increased investment in the research and development, enhance the level of designing capacity, extend the market pipelines, elevate the products value driven by contribution from science, technology and brands, show the industrial feature through the science and technology, products, market and trend all in their new frontlines. Meanwhile, we also hope that the merchants and the professional buyers could cooperate well with the enterprises, striving for raising our quality of life and building our in-house brands. ”

 

 

Aiming at the weak point of technical and product innovation, Chinese textile industry emphasized the importance of science and technology in its 11^th Five-Year-Plan, requiring the development and exploitation of new material and advanced techniques. For the knitting industry in China, as the products with low value-added found it was hard to meet the demand of market and challenge with other textile products, large amount of knitting enterprises began to do research and develop the products with high added value, which represent an uptrend in domestic market obviously.

 

Therefore, the First China International Knitting trade Fair is the right platform for those knitting enterprises to exhibit their new research achievement. In the exhibition hall, a specialized district was set up to show the 07’ China Warp Knitting Celebration Cup-Awarded Works, and several well-known domestic knitting enterprises, such as the Shanghai ThreeGun (Group) Co., Ltd, Quanzhou Haitian Textiles Co., Ltd, and so on, brought their newly-developed knitting products to exhibit. Meanwhile, this trade fair also offer an opportunity for upstream fiber manufacturers to have a face to face talk with the downstream enterprises, leading to a better communication and cooperation of the industrial chain absolutely.        

 

Besides, the organization committee also invited thousands of large scaled buyers’ delegations to take part in the trade fair, ranging from government organization, hotel, brand representatives and domestic and overseas suppliers, such as the Pacific Department Store Co., Ltd, Hangzhou Tower, Nanjing Central Emporium Co., Ltd,  IMAGE BABY (Italy), Sabare USA Inc (USA), Next Retail Ltd (UK Office) and so on, which means numerous business deal would be created for the exhibitors during this trade fair.

 

 

Functional knitted products is on trend in market, in this trade fair, large amount of enterprises presented their new functional knitted products in front of visitors and show the charm of their brands:

 

China Textile Resource Pudong Ltd brought its newly-developed Soft Bamboo fiber with a theme of “functional” and “Fashionable”, which is a kind of cellulose fiber coming from natural bamboo after the process of pulping, spinning, and after-treatment. The Soft Bamboo fiber is soft and bright, with its natural antibacterial property, it could become a perfect material for underwear, towel, coverlid and carpet. Nowadays, the Soft Bamboo has already found its own market. In order to meet the demand of the changing market, after several development and exploitation, CTRC-PD could offer mainly six kinds of Soft Bamboo fiber in market: 0.9D/38mm, 1.2D/38mm, 1.4D/38mm, 1.5D/51mm, 3.0D/76-102mm, and 5.0D/89-102mm.

 

Shanghai Zhengjia Milk Fiber Sci & Tech Co., Ltd created an opportunities for us to enjoy a 24-hour milk spa by providing a new functional fiber — milk protein fiber. After ten years time, Shanghai Zhengjia has finished the research and development of milk protein fiber as well as the complete process of industrial manufacture to create a new field in fiber world. Meanwhile, a Technical Seminar on New Knitted Material & Products with Health Care Function was held among the exhibition, experts from Tianjin Polytechnic University, Du Pont Co., Ltd, Australian Wool Development Co., and so on got together to share their views and techniques of producing and exploiting new functional knitting fiber products, which would be helpful to promote knitting industrial upgrading and development.

 

During the First China International Knitting trade Fair, what we could appreciate is not only the various functional knitting products of underwear, bra, sweater, casual wear, T-shirt, night-suit, and so on, the decorated design gallery, and the release of the fashion trend…., but also we could find that the knitting industry in China is experiencing the process of grow vigorously, filling with energy and enthusiasm optimistically.
