In a move to transform from a fabrics company to a garments one Arvind mills is doubling its shirts capacity at its Bangalore facility from 2.4m pieces a month to 5m.
Arvind Mills has set up a jeans plant in Mauritius with a capacity of 2.5m pieces per month. The company is also awaiting government approval to tie up with the Mujrani-owned Ganesha, a Tommy Hilfiger licencee, for a 50:50 joint venture to make, market and export shirts, trousers and knitted garments under the Tommy Hilfiger brand.
