Leading garment producer Viet Tien on Monday unveiled plans to invest $5.2 million on expanding its production lines as it looks to reap the rewards of the country’s recent trade deal with the US.
The Ho Chi Minh City-based firm said the new investment will boost its annual output 20 per cent to 36 million pieces from 30 million pieces.The company currently exports its clothes to more than 60 countries around the world and over the past two years has invested around $8m in new technology and equipment at several plants.
