Recently prices in main domestic grey fabric market continue to move up with no trend of stop.

Prices of main grey fabric products edge up and will keep firm in short term. Among this, prices of cotton fine cloth C60S×60S 90×88 64" 1/1 (rough selvedge) are at 8.00yuan/m, combed cotton fine cloth JC80S×80S 90×88 64" 1/1 (rough selvedge) at 10.00yuan/m, and higher prices of cotton twill C16S×12S 108×56 63" 3/1 at 14.50yuan/m.

Although the prices of grey fabric products follow feedstock to move up, the sales have slowed down. One of the reasons is that plants dare not to receive orders and build up inventory due to the run risks, which leads to a situation of “there are sellers but no buyers”. Secondly, in face of the constant rising prices of cotton yarn and grey fabric, downstream plants began to resist, which decrease the market demand.
