Stripes and spots, predicted as the most fashionable patterns for winter 2004, are one of the talking points of the latest collection from the Henitex division of the Deveaux group.
Created by a new technique employing saponification to transform acetate into viscose fabric with a satinised finish, the knitted fabrics also incorporate elastane yarns and are expected to sell best into the T-shirt market.
“We are particularly proud of this development because of the difficulties previously experienced in fixing/washing on acetate based qualities, which we believe the new fabric series solves,” says Henitex.
The range should also open up new markets for Henitex, which already exports over 80 per cent of the output of its French mills.
