Polyester Filament Yarn Market Morning Express (Nov 12, 2010)

Polyester filament yarn market is in chaos. Some producers keep offers flat and the others reduce offers largely or offer discounts. Wait-and-see sentiment is heavy.

In Xiaoshan and Shaoxing, some producers revise higher offers down. POY and DTY are mainly offers at 16500-17000 and 19000-19500yuan/mt. FDY offers are largely maintained and some producer cut by 2000yuan/mt with 100D/48F and 150D at 18500-19000 and 16500-17300yuan/mt. The traded prices are negotiable. In Xiaoshan, one producer reduces POY offers down with 75D, 100D, 150D and 300D at 16550, 15850, 15500 and 15200yuan/mt.

In Tongxiang, the offers are largely stable. In Shengze, one producer revises higher offers down. In Wujiang, one producer keeps offers unchanged. In Taicang, POY offers continue to drop due to rapid increase before with 75/144, 100/144 and 150/144 at 18650, 17200 and 16750.

In Wuxi, major producer offers FDY down by 1000-1050yuan/mt with semi-dull and bright 75/36 at 21500 and 21000yuan/mt.

In Fujian, some traders made profit-taking on the market, while the polyester filament yarn producers mainly offer discounts to speed off-take.
