OSAKA - 2010 Japan-China Business Forum was held at Osaka New Otani Hotel on Tuesday. Around 200 entrepreneurs and scholars attending the forum held discussion on cooperation between the two countries in the field of environment protection and energy conservation.
Chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation Hiroshi Shimozuma addressed the on forum, saying that there were many business opportunities in energy conservation and environment protection, hoping the forum would give a full display of Japan's technology and practice in energy conservation and environment protection in order to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
Zheng Xianglin, consular general of Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Osaka expressed his hope that the two countries should enhance trade and economic cooperation, perfect cooperation mechanisms between enterprises, and close more deals in business negotiations.
Feng Fei, head of Research Department of Industrial Economy of DRC (Development Research Center of the State Council) delivered a keynote speech at the forum, introducing China's goals and policies in energy conservation and environment protection during the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015), development of strategic new industries, and current situation in sustainable development.
Enterprise representatives from Beijing, Shanghai, Liaoning, and Shandong held discussion with their Japanese counterparts, introducing the local policies and projects on environment protection and energy conservation.
Japan-China Business Forum was co-sponsored by seven economic groups including Kansai Economic Federation, JETRO, Japan-China Economic Association. The forum was supported by the Osaka prefectural government and the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Osaka.
