Yarn Market Morning Express (Dec 7, 2010)

Cotton yarn prices continued to be weak and plants are active to sell goods. Although offers from big scale plants have not changed again, transaction prices are much lower. The mainstream prices of cotton yarn 40s are at 36500-37000yuan/mt while the transaction prices of combed cotton yarn 40s are at 42000-43000yuan/mt. Currently the transactions remain weak, but enquires increase somehow and plants concern about cotton prices.

In addition, the dropping prices of rayon yarn speed up and plants with increasing inventory reduce offers actively. The lower transaction prices of rayon yarn 30s for weaving are at 29500yuan/mt while rayon yarn 30s for knitting at 30500-31000yuan/mt.
