Tenglong Aromatics to Start PX/PTA Project by end 2011

Tenglong Aromatics (Xiamen) Co., Ltd is speeding up the construction of new 800kt/yr PX and 1.5 million mt / year PTA plant at Zhangzhou, Fujian province now.

The construction of Gulei Petrochemical project has started from last May with total investment of 18 billion RMB. By the end of Nov, the executed investment has reached 12 billion RMB. The construction of the project is expected to complete by the end of 2011.

In addition, Haishunde special oil project, Xianglu Petrochemical's IPA and catalyst projects will also start production simultaneously with Xianglu Tenglong's PX and PTA projects. The construction of oil refining and ethylene integration projects may also start in 2012.

It is reported that 15 million tons of oil refining project, 2 million tons of ethylene project , ports and downstream plants are also planned in Taiwan petrochemical industry park in Gulei Peninsula, Zhangzhou. The downstream plants include MEG, styrene, acetic acid ethylene and ethylene oxide plants. The total investment is about 100 billion RMB. The plan is expected to be completed within 5 years.
