Fabric Market Morning Express (Dec 15, 2010)

Recently as downstream plants mainly hold wait-and-see stances, fabric plants with limited orders and unsmooth sales continue to reduce offers. The prices of JT/C65/35 45S×45S 133×72 58" dyed fabric produced in Shandong decline by 0.2yuan/m again to 11.3yuan/m while the higher offers for C40S×40S 77×177 58" (21counts) corduroy dyed fabric produced in Jiangsu are at 18.5yuan/m, decreasing by 0.5yuan/m from the beginning of Dec.

The cotton textile industry remains weak. The sales of grey fabric and fabric keep dull due to the weak demand while upstream feedstock prices keep downtrend. Plants operate cautiously and look forward to steady feedstock prices. In Hebei, Shandong and Jiangsu, some medium and small plants have reduced production or even stopped working.
