India : Rising Rupee Value Hits Textile Export

After the Iraq war and SARS, now the appreciating rupee is giving sleepless nights to Indian exporters. However, most big exporters have hedged against the falling value of dollar but small exporters badly hit during the past three months. Small exporters are contributing about 40 per cent to the total Indian textile exports.
