Spandex Market Morning Express (Dec 15, 2010)

This morning, spandex sales remain sluggish and its price keeps firm. Spandex traders and weaving plants digest inventory or purchase on demand.

In Guangdong, weaving market witnesses less deal and local O/R of circular knitting plants is around 20-30% level. A few producers have shut down productions. Meanwhile, O/R of covered yarn plants also declines affected by slack fabric demand, down to 30%. Some plants still hold at 70-80% level.

Spandex 20D price is pegged at 85000-87000yuan/mt (lower at 83000yuan/mt) in Guangdong. 40D price is pegged at 65000-67000yuan/mt.
