PET Fiber Chip Market Morning Express (Dec 21, 2010)

PET fiber chip holds stable this morning. Some plants raise offers tentatively. SD chips are offered at 11300-11400yuan/mt by acceptance, while a few deals are still discussed at 11100yuan/mt by cash.

As PET fiber chip market maintains weak and producers are already suffering losses, some plants in Zhejiang are inclined to reduce production. A 80kt/yr fiber chip unit in Tongxiang was shut down yesterday.
