United States Of America : The Dress Barn May 2003 Total Sales Up 3%

The Dress Barn, Inc. (NASDAQ:DBRN), one of the nation's leading women's specialty retailers offering quality career and casual fashion apparel at value prices, Thursday reported its May sales results.

Total sales for the four-week period ended May 24, 2003 increased 3% to $68.8 million compared to $67.1 million reported for the four-week period ended May 25, 2002.  Same-store sales were flat to last year.
