Cotton Prices Hold Steady

Last weekend, seed cotton price fell slightly in some areas, but ginned cotton price held steady on the whole. Inferior grade 3 cotton was still offered at 27000-27300yuan/mt while the offers for Xinjiang cotton type 329 still retained at 28200-28500yuan/mt.

On ZCE futures market, cotton opens low but trends upward. In the middle session, May11 settles at 27670yuan/mt, down 60yuan/mt while Sep11 settles at 27730yuan/mt, down 85yuan/mt.
