Polyester Filament Yarn Market Morning Express (Dec 30, 2010)

With the New Year Day approaching, PFY market tends stable though hot-sale or tight-supply POY descriptions inch up slightly. Previous favorable sales have shaven PFY inventory on some extent and some hot-sales varieties face tight supply. Downstream plants stock up moderately but still cautious toward relatively bad-sales descriptions. Basically PFY market may keep stable before New Year Day but some tight-supply varieties may gain a small increase.

In Xiaoshan and Shaoxing, a few FDY varieties gain 100, 68/24, 150 and 200 at 15700-16100, 12600-12900 and 12900-13000yuan/mt. Some POY increases by 50-100, 75/72 and 150/48 at 14700-15200 and 12600-13000yuan/mt. One Fujian plant revises POY up 100, 75/36, 75/72 and 150/48 at 14600, 15000 and 12900yuan/mt.
