China Yarn Market Daily(4 Jan 2011)

Cotton yarn market continued to be modest with limited orders and stable prices. The market prices of cotton yarn 32s for knitting were at 34000-35000yuan/mt while the mainstream price of combed cotton yarn 40s was at 42000yuan/m. Polyester yarn prices continued to move up. The prices of polyester yarn 32s for knitting in Fujian and Guangdong were at 17400yuan/mt,pre-tax and in Jiangsu and Zhejiang at 18800yuan/mt, after-tax.

In Shandong and Jiangsu, cotton yarn prices continued to keep stable with still limited transactions. The mainstream price of combed cotton yarn 40s was at 42000yuan/mt while big scale plants mainly offered at 43000-44000yuan/mt, ex-work.
