Although the transactions of cotton yarn remained moderate, more plants tried to raise offers by 500-1000yuan/mt. The sales increased somehow as downstream plants replenished stocks, especially those who had fixed orders of feedstock purchasing, which supported yarn market to keep stable. The market prices of cotton yarn 32s for knitting were at 35000-35500yuan/mt with sufficient spots.
Polyester yarn prices kept firm. The market prices of polyester yarn 32s for knitting were at 18700-19000yuan/mt in Jiangsu and Zhejiang while in Fujian and Guangdong the prices were at 18000yuan/mt, pre-tax.
Oversea cotton yarn prices continued to keep stable last week. The prices of Pakistan cotton yarn 20s were at $4.35/kg, FOB, equal to 29000yuan/mt, pre-tax. The prices of open end cotton yarn 10s in Taiwan were at $635/bale, equal to 28300yuan/mt, after-tax.
