Jiangsu: Textile & Clothes Export Rebound

Since June of 2010, the export of textile and clothes products made record high for three sucessive months in Jiangsu province. But it turned to slide in the next two months. Entering Nov., the export made a small rebound. The export in this month were 210 million USD, rising 37.5% from a year ago, or rising 13.27% from a month ago. The accumulated export of textile and clothes in this province reached 2.26 billion USD in first 11 months, rising 31.3% from the same period last year.

The major export destinations were the US, EU and Japan. While export to ASEAN and India also made a big growth. From Jan. to Nov. the export of textile and clothes to the US, EU and Japan were 480 million USD, 350 million USD, and 320 million USD respectively, rising 53.4%, 10.9% and 14.2%. The top three buyers took 51.1% of the total export. The export to ASEAN and India were 170 million USD and 80 million USD, rising 94.5% and 88.9% respectively.
