Cotton China Logo Launch

Sponsored by China Cotton Association, "Cotton China, A Beginning of Good Life"market campaign launched in Beijing on Dec. 28th. Gao Fang, the Vice President of CCA announced the "Cotton China" logo could be applied on Jan. 1st 2011.

Cotton China logo has been registered as a quality mark on State Administration of Industry and Commerce. It could be used in raw cotton, home textile and apparel.

Cotton China means homegrown, pure cotton and high quality. A product that uses at least 60% homegrown cotton, and comprises 95% or above cotton fiber, and accords with the state quality standard or industry standard, as well as the eco-friend standard, could apply for this logo.

According to CCA, all the applicant has to be examed from three aspects, enterprise qualification, product quality and verification procedure.

First, the enterprise qualification. The enterprise need to have at least two years�� experience in the cotton related business. It need to acquire ISO9000 certification or other quality management certification. It has certain sales channel and after-sales service system, as well as a registered trade mark. It has to be a CCA member.

Second, the product quality. A product with the ��Cotton China�� logo has to meet the requirements in eco standard, product instruction, fiber composition label, raw cotton and cotton product package standard.

Third, the verification procedure. CCA Secreariat will complete the verification in 60 days after receiving the application. State Fiber Quality Supervision and Testing Center, and Jiangsu Import & Export Inspection and Quarantine Bureau Industry Product Testing Center are the appointed testing organizations and will implement the testing work of "Cotton China" application products. Besides, as the trade mark owner, CCA has requirement for the re-check procedure and the management meature for the use of this logo.
