PET fiber chip edged up on Tuesday at a slower pace than yesterday. As the sentiment in polyester market dropped somewhat, PET fiber chip sank into looking-on mood. Few deals were heard. SD chips were mostly offered at 13300-13500yuan/mt and talked at 13200yuan/mt. Bright chip were talked at 12900-13200yuan/mt by cash or 90 days payment. CDP chips maintained at 13800-14100yuan/mt.
Polyester feedstock is still high and the whole industry chain remains healthy, but the quick price increase on Monday has led to looking-on sentiment in the market. PET fiber chip may continue to consolidate at a high level.
As to contract prices, Hengyi PC settles Jan SD chip contract at 12750yuan/mt, bright chip contract at 12700yuan/mt, industrial grade chip at 12750yuan/mt and film grade chip at 12750yuan/mt. Xiaoshan Rongsheng settles Jan SD chip contract at 12750yuan/mt. Sinopec settles Jan PET fiber chip contract: SD chip is settled at 12800yuan/mt, bright chip at 12650yuan/mt, industrial grade chip at 12650yuan/mt and full dull chip at 13600yuan/mt.
