China Spandex Market Daily (14 Feb 2011)

CCF Spandex Price Index
Spandex 20D: 83,000yuan　
Spandex 30D: 73,000yuan　
Spandex 40D: 63,000yuan

At present, spandex 20D, 30D and 40D price was talked around 82000-85000yuan/mt, 72000-75000yuan/mt and 62000-65000yuan/mt, respectively. The price of cargoes in tight supply presented firm.

Spandex sales
Spandex sales of new orders remained slim. As weaving plants’ operation rates gradually turned better, small-volume deals increased while the big deal mainly targeted for previous contract delivery. Weaving plants mostly took cautious sentiment on hiking price.

Downstream market
Operating rates in weaving market remained low. However, further purchasing in warp knitting was optimistic while purchasing sentiment in weft knitting and covered yarn knitting market was dull.

Outlook
As demand gradually starts, spandex traded price will gradually follow up.
