PET fiber chip market consolidated on Monday and transactions became plainer than before. SD chips were mostly offered at 13600-13700yuan/mt. But enquires were inactive and trades were rare as downstream demand has not follow up. Possible talked level was at 13600yuan/mt 90 days payment. Buyers are still looking on and transactions are plain. Bright chip market was deadlocked as well and talked level was around 13400-13600yuan/mt. Few deals were heard. Offers of CDP chips were hiked to 14500yuan/mt while talked level was around 14200-14300yuan/mt. Trades were scant.
Polyester feedstock was in adjustment today and downstream demand was still dull with sales ratio lingering at low level. PET fiber chip may keep consolidating with a weak tone in face of high feedstock cost and low demand.
