The first ever Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Spring Edition, takes place from 2 – 4 April 2011 at INTEX Shanghai and ShanghaiMart.
Directly targeting China’s booming home textile market, this fair promises to be a dynamic platform. Pavilions organised by the Haining Home Textile Association and the Yuhang Home Textile Association have secured already 95% of the available exhibition space. Home textile manufacturers from these two regions are known throughout China and the world for producing an extensive assortment of decorative fabrics.
Covering 20,000 sqm of trade space, the fair will present the latest range of household linens, wall and window decorations, upholstery fabrics, textiles for contract market, interior design and textile handicrafts, accessories, carpets and rugs, as well as other home textile related products and services. “We are confident Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Spring Edition has the assets to meet industry’s expectations, especially the local Chinese market,” said Ms Wendy Wen, Director, Trade Fairs, Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.
Top domestic brands confirmed to participate in the fair include: Anhui Honren Co (Group) Ltd, China’s largest producer of upholstery fabrics and down products; Hangzhou Zhongwang Fabric Products Co Ltd, which designs and manufactures upholstery fabrics, contract fabrics, as well as special chemical fibre materials for bedding and curtains; and Shandong Haosheng Towel Co Ltd, the innovative bamboo towel manufacturer.
Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Spring Edition also welcomes participation from Invista and Lenzing. The US-based Invista will use the platform to introduce their polyester DACRON brand. While Lenzing, the renowned fibre specialist will showcase cutting-edge cellulosic fibre technology. Recognising design demand is on the rise in China, an extensive range of directional home textile concepts will be presented at the fair by influential design studios – Atelier Mineeda Co Ltd, Cosmo Kumagai, and Nix Co Ltd from Japan. As a result, fair participants have the chance to gain tomorrow’s inspiration ideas today.
Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles Spring Edition is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA).
