Shaoxing Dyeing & Printing Industry Strives for Upgrading

At the beginning of this spring, five dyeing and printing companies including Tianlong Digital and Sanyin started their construction in the Binhai Industry Zone Dying & Printing Industry Zone of Shaoxing.

As the key year of Shaoxing's Industry Upgrading Program, 89 dyeing and printing companies had signed agreements to move into Binhai last year. This accounted for 60% of the original plan that moving 80% of its dyeing & printing companies into Binhai new area in five years.

According to statistics, there were 203 dyeing and printing companies in Shaoxing, with annul output of fabrics 18.5 billion meters, accounting for 53% of the total production of the province and 30% national wide.

On June 25th 2010, Shaoxing Govornment lanuched its energy-saving and emission-reducing program and planed to cut half of the dyeing & printing companies down in five years, and 80% of those companies moving into Binhai.
