Brazil : Zara Plans Expansion Drive

When Inditex came to Brazil in 1999, all the clothes of the 3 Zara
stores were imported from Europe. Now, the Spanish textile group, owner of Zara brand, is transforming the local textile plants into export basis to its stores in 46 countries. Currently, there are 20 domestic suppliers operating with Inditex, and their production already accounts for 25% of the sales in the 12 outlets based in Brazil.
