Spot CPL market rebounded somewhat during the two weeks with downstream plants starting refilling inventory after the Dragon Boat Festival and some traders also stepping in. However, downstream market was not recovering that fast. Nylon 6 chip prices were largely steady but sales improved slightly. Nylon 6 textile filament market was still relatively weak and the product inventory was still accumulating.
Except a small turnaround in Sinopec Baling, other domestic CPL producers were running nearly full rate in China. Nylon 6 chip plants operating rate was raised somewhat.
