New Edition State Mandatory Standard Regulation for Textile to take Effect

According to Standardization Administration, the new edition State Textile Basic Safety Technology Specification GB 18401-2010 is going to put into effect on August 1st of this year.

Compared to the current GB18401-2003, the new edition GB18401-2010 has a bigger covery and more strict control for the noxious substance. It also conforms to related international standard. The major changes include: definition of baby age extends from 24 months to 36 months; pH value of type B products changed from 4.0-7.5 to 4.0-8.5; the definition of baby height from "80cm and shorter" to "100cm and shorter", and the limitation for aromatic amine content changed from "20 mg/kg to 4 mg/kg".
