July 19th, 2011 Daily Review on Polyester Prices

Upstream

Yesterday, the futures price of light crude oil in New York Commodity Exchange dropped 1.31 USD to 95.93 USD per barrel, and the drop rate was 1.4%. The PX price in Asia increased 28 USD to 1,585 USD/Ton FOB Korean and the PX price in Europe increased 5 USD to 1,420 USD/Ton FOB Rotterdam.

PTA: The price of PTA in domestic market is about 9,200 to 9,250 Yuan/Ton. In overseas market, Taiwan cargo price is about 1,180-1,190 USD/Ton and the Korean goods price is about 1,160-1,165 USD/Ton.

MEG: The price of MEG is firmly about 9,200-9,250 Yuan/Ton in China.

PET: Today, the price of semi-dull polyester chips is about 12,500 Yuan/Ton. The price of polyester bottle chips is around 12,400-12,500 Yuan/Ton in domestic market.

Downstream

Today, the price of PSF in eastern China is consolidated. The price of direct spinning PSF 1.4D*38mm is about 12,600 to 12, 700 Yuan/Ton. The price of polyester yarns is steady, a main factory quoted FDY50D/24F for 16,500 Yuan/Ton and DTY75D/144F for 19,800 Yuan/Ton.
