BEIJING,July 29 (Xinhuanet) – Colombian models made a sizzling start to Medellin's fashion week "Colombia-Moda 2011" on Tuesday. A century ago, Medellin became a textile and fabric powerhouse. But these days, it's one of Latin America's fashion centers.
This Colombia lingerie line is Amulette, and although it is dominated by the lacy numbers and thongs popular in Latin America, there were also hints of a more modern touch with a pairing of subdued, orange and brown designs.
Amulette is the brand of Johanna Isaac, who started the company in the coastal Colombia city of Barranquilla.
Victoriano Simone, Studio F's creative director, said, "I think the whole collection is dotted with hints of retro. In this collection, El Vintas, we have focused on picking out the best of each era - anything that was real quality or stuck out."
Studio F's collection was up next with some comfy streetwear from the popular fashion and accessories brand.
Wide belts and large strokes of turquoise dominated the collection.
The Colombiamoda 2011 ends on Thursday.
