Operation of China textile industry is generally good |

Since this year, China's textile industry actively respond to many unfavorable factors, such as the earthquake in Japan, North Africa turbulence, the slow recovery of developed economies, raising rates and deposit-reserve ratio, appreciation of the RMB, price volatility of cotton and other raw materials, labor and energy costs have been risen, etc. By changing the mode of development, improving technology, management and marketing level, the first half of the year, the production, export and profit have been steadily go up, but the growth was slowed down, the cotton spinning industry was influenced by the cotton price fluctuations, some small textile business was difficult. Statistics show that in January –June 2011, the industrial production of textile enterprises above designated size is at 2393.8 million yuan, up 30.0%, industrial added value of enterprises above designated size increased by 9.9%, growth rate down 2.3%. Industry sales rate is at 97.6%, basically equaling the level of the same period in last year.
