The latest report of China E-Commerce Research Center showed that, as of June 2011, overseas purchasing agent business hited 20.6 billion yuan, and is anticipated to reach 24.1 billion yuan by the end of this year, and will reach 48 billion yuan by the end of 2012.
The report said, in the first half of 2011, the most popular overseas purchased goods was still cosmetics as before, followed by milk powder, case & bag, shoes & cap, clothing, electronic products. The big price difference between China and overseas for some foreign brands, and the upward of RMB were considered the major causes for the flourishing of the overseas purchasing agent business. Despite of this, there are risks on price, quality, exchange and return, so the consumers need to be causious.
Also according to the report, the first half of 2011, the e-business value of China hited 2950 billion yuan, with 31 percent Y/Y growth, amid B2B e-commerce value was 2600 billion yuan, with 26.8 percent Y/Y growth; online retail business was 349.2 billion yuan, with the Y/Y growth 74.6 percent.
