A delegation representing Syrian public companies has signed in Baghdad textile contracts worth 13 million dollars, according to the Syrian daily al-Thawra. This was at the directives of the Syrian ministry of industry, while the total sum under negotiations was 16 million.
The paper said that the ministry of industry sent a delegation representing public companies directors to Baghdad which signed three textile contracts with Iraqi companies at a cost of 13 million dollars.
Syrian and Iraqi officials say that the value of trade exchange between the two states is approaching one billion dollars.
