China's textile industry to launch a full sprint of becoming a textile power in 5-10 years |

China's textile industry will launch a full sprint towards realizing the target of becoming a textile power in the next 5 to 10 years. Textile standardization is bound to promote the realization of China’s becoming a textile power in the critical period. Textile standardization will show the development of five characteristics in the “Twelfth five-years plan” and even in the coming period.
First, Textile standardization will make standards with a guiding ideology more prominently serving to industry development. Textile Standards should focus on the transformation of economic development, speed up industrial structure adjustment, transformation and upgrading, promote the textile industry to achieve the central task of transforming from a large industry to a strong one.
Second, Textile standardization will make standards more prominently concerning people’s livelihood. Textile standards must regard protecting and improving people's livelihood as a fundamental starting point and standing point.
Third, Textile standardization will more prominently show development trends of international standards, so as to enhance the ability and level of China’s participating in the work of developing international standardization.
Fourth, Textile standardization will more prominently pay attention to the optimization of standardization, it will focus on solving co-ordination and matching problems in the standards of inter-industry and industry chain.
Fifth, Textile standardization will more prominently show an open and transparent process in standards development.
