Exhibition Special: Exciting expo wraps up the autumn sourcing season for Southeast Asia

There will be a new type of fair for the sourcing business in Singapore at the end of November, organized by a Hong Kong company and the Fujian government to provide a new source for Southeast Asian traders and buyers. 

The Asia Expo-Singapore and Fujian Commodities Expo-Singapore will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, at Singapore's new Marina Bay complex, Nov 23-25. 

The two business events are organized by Kenfair Exhibition (Hong Kong) Ltd and the Fujian provincial government and intended for regional importers, distributors and wholesalers. 

This is partly because China exporters have been showing increasing interest in developing markets in the region, especially the rapidly growing ASEAN countries, as a means of expanding their business networks. 

Singapore is considered a geographical center and major trading port for Southeast Asia and therefore a logical location for this new retail products extravaganza. 

Asia Expo-Singapore and Fujian Commodities Expo-Singapore are expected to have more than 600 booths for Chinese and other Asian manufacturers. 

The organizers say the expo will have a wide variety of high-quality, competitively priced merchandise, with two distinct sections. 

Fujian Commodities Expo-Singapore will have at least 300 booths for mainland, especially Fujian, enterprises. Meanwhile, Asia Expo-Singapore will carry a wide range of at least 200 exhibitors from China's Hong Kong special administrative region (SAR), Taiwan province, India, Indonesia, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam all under one roof for the convenience of regional buyers looking for sources and new business opportunities. 

There will be everything imaginable on display, from giftware, housewares, toys and baby products to consumer-electronics goods, foodstuff, ethnic goods, garments and apparel, textiles and fabrics, footwear, and fashion accessories to hardware and building materials, machinery, and auto parts. 

The expo comes at the year's end of the sourcing cycle for most regional buyers and will provide a well-managed, diverse mix for buyers to wrap-up their autumn sourcing in Southeast Asia.
